As there was no water damage to the box, the odor was probably the result of spending all the time at sea. The first thing I noticed was a mildew odor in the box. They have been producing electronics for a while now and have a fairly good reputation.

The package had a little scuff on on corner, probably cause by another package being pushed against it but I saw no other damage.
